| Additional
notes: An eventful and in the end, very surprising moth trapping
session made up of approximately 666 moths of some 92 species. It
was a total that ultimately went on to provide three new moths for the
Idle Valley NR, with two of these new to Nottinghamshire. The moths new to Nottinghamshire were Kent Black Arches Meganola albula and the colourful (and equally rare) Oncocerus semirubella, whilst Bactra furferana proved to be new to the IVNR. In addition, there were a number of other notable species, that included fourth reserve records of Epinotia nisella and Lobesia abscisana, and only the second reserve records of Caloptilia robustella and Eucosma obumbratana. |
