Kent Black Arches Meganola albula ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)
Status .....The moth illustrated below was the first record for Nottinghamshire, trapped by Phil Cadman and Ian Hunt at the Idle Valley NR on August 2nd 2019. It remained the county's only record, until singles were trapped at Keyworth on June 29th (Pinder, N.) and Langford Lowfields on July 10th 2025 (Morton, D. and Ashley, A.). Our thanks go to Ian Hunt, who very kindly allowed us to use his photographs below, to illustrate the species.
