Oncocera semirubella (Scopoli, 1763)  
Status .....A moth typically found on chalk downland and limestone cliffs, with most UK records coming from southern coastal counties. The moth below was thought to be the first record for Nottinghamshire t the time and was trapped by members of the Lound Moth Group at the Idle Valley NR on August 2nd 2019 (Cadman, P., Hunt, I. and Newman, N.). The same trapping session also providing the county's first record of Kent Black Arches (Meganola albula).

There have been further records since, with singles from the former Rufford Colliery site in July 2024 (Beeley, G.), Nottingham (Merlin Park) (Simons, D.), from South Muskham and Collingham (both Kennewell, M.) all in July 2025.
