Lunar Underwing Anchoscelis lunosa (Haworth, 1809)      Formerly Omphaloscelis lunosa 
Status .....Very common at some sites, especially in some years at Eakring when it could be very common at MV light. We have not recorded this moth regularly, or in any numbers in recent years and the patchy distribution of this species in Nottinghamshire, may mean that it is not as common as we thought it once was. Seems to be rare along much of the Trent Valley.
