Pinion-streaked Snout Schrankia costaestrigalis (Stephens, 1834)
Status .....A rare moth in Nottinghamshire, predominantly occurring in wetland habitats. Since 2003, there has been a scattering of records from a line north-east of Wollaton, through Ravenshead and up to Misson Carr in the very north of the county and it may be showing signs of increasing, although still a very uncommon moth. Our thanks go to members of the Lound Moth Group, for kindly supplying the moth for us, in the lower two photographs.
