Summary : Clear and feeling mild. A catch of 239 moths of 16 species in 3h 00m trapping time (19:50-22:50h) Temperature 6C. First hour in the centre, and then two hours at the entrance of Lound Wood.

Summary : Clear and fairly mild, but feeling cooler. A very large catch this evening of 278 moths of 16 species in 3h 00m trapping time (19:50-22:50h) and a new March record count. Temperature dropping to 5C. A trapping session dominated by large numbers of both Small and Common Quakers. Initially trapping was started on the edge of Lound Wood, but it was clear that not many moths were about. Moving to just inside the entrance to the wood paid off immediately, when numbers of Quakers started to appear, making accurate counting difficult at times. Pine Beauty was new for the year and the earliest ever date. It is still a scarce species here, with only six records previously.

Summary : Partly overcast, mild and very windy. A good catch of 36 moths of six species in 1h 15m trapping time (20:45-22:00h) Temperature 7C.
