It is thought that larval bioluminescence may be lower during the first hours of darkness. Recorded temperatures of 13°C at T1 and 14°C at T2. Weather overcast and warm, continuing to be very dry, with temperatures of 18°C at both T1 and T2. Site visited from 20:50-00:05h. Larval bioluminescence increased as the survey continued.

September 6th	48	0	0	A new site record count of 48 larvae, came after the first days rain for several weeks. There were signs that some larvae had finally either taken on water or had fed. Sections D, E, F, G, I, J, K, L, M, N and S were surveyed, with 29 larvae being recorded along section I alone. A good number of larvae were also located well off the ground, on plant stems etc. Cooler this evening, with recorded temperatures of 10°C at T1 and 11°C at T2. Weather, clear skies and misty, following rain most of the day until mid-afternoon. Site visited from 22:15h-01:35h.
