Wood Carpet Epirrhoe rivata (Müller, 1764)
Status .....Not a common moth in Nottinghamshire and certainly one confined by recent records to the north of the county. There is a 1986 record from Sherwood Forest CP, but it seems never to have been established there and is more likely to be found in the northern stretch of the Trent Valley and in the Carrs around Misson and Misterton. Our thanks go to Phil Lee for kindly supplying and giving permission to use his photographs.

Photographed at Misterton June 2018
