.....Now known from an increasing number of
Nottinghamshire sites after appearing in the county for the first time in 2016, with two records from the
Trent Valley area, including Besthorpe GP
(Wright, S. and Osborne, J.) and from Broadholme
(Gray, M.) on the county border with Lincolnshire. Among some of
the most recent records, are singles from Misterton in 2020 and again in
2026 (Lee,
P.) and from Langford Lowfields
(Morton, D. and Ashley, A.) who kindly provided the specimen in
the photographs below.
A note on Broadholme records:
Broadholme is in vice county VC56 of Nottinghamshire (which is covered
by www.eakringbirds.com), but not in the administrative county of
Nottinghamshire on which the county's moth records are based by
the county macromoth recorder. As such, no Broadholme records appear in
any county reports, but they are officially recognised by Butterfly
Conservation as being Nottinghamshire records. |
