.....Recorded as new to Nottinghamshire in 2018, when
one was trapped at Carlton on 27th July by Andy Adcock. There were no
records the following year, but in July and August 2020, there was
evidence of continued northerly range expansion with multiple records
from neighbouring counties. This has continued, with the moth being seen
to increase its range within the county during 2024.
The one in the lower two photographs, was trapped by
Dave Morton and Andy Ashley at Budby Pumping Station on 9th August 2020,
with one also recorded by Rob and Jill Carlyle at 'Cordwood' near Bestwood on
the same night. Both these moths followed others taken previously at
Radcliffe-on-Trent (Freestone, R. and Dulwich,
P.). |
