Stigmella sorbi (Stainton, 1861)  
Status .....As far as can be traced, this leaf miner was found new to VC56 Nottinghamshire at Clipstone Old Quarter in early July 2020. The blotch type mines are distinctive and easy to spot on the leaves of Mountain Ash (Sorbus aucuparia). More a moth of northern and western areas, there are few records from the Midlands and south-eastern counties of the UK.
