Stigmella paradoxa
(Frey, 1858) |
||
| This seems to be something of an overlooked/scarce leaf miner of Hawthorn and at first glance, is indeed very similar to the quite obviously circular leaf mine of Leucoptera malifoliella which can also be in the lobe of the leaf. However, the mine of Stigmella paradoxa, is a blotch mine, where the frass is laid down in the centre of the blotch and not spiralled, as with L. malifoliella. | ||
