Beet Moth Scrobipalpa ocellatella (Boyd, 1858)
A migrant/adventive species, possibly recorded new to Nottinghamshire in 2022 and thought to have become established in agricultural areas of the county very quickly. On parts of the Continent, it has already been given pest status after affecting Sugar Beet crops, so looks likely to gain similar status in the UK soon. In 2022, large numbers turned up at light traps operated across southern counties and reached as far north as Northumberland.
