Rhodophaea formosa (Haworth, 1811)
Currently known from two Nottinghamshire sites. There have been at least six records from Martin Gray's garden at Broadholme, which lies directly on the Nottinghamshire border with neighbouring Lincolnshire and from the NWT's Skylarks reserve at Home Pierrepont in 2020. The one photographed below, was recorded and photographed at Rutland Water by Tim Sexton, but those who run moth traps in the south of the county, should be alert to the possibility of this moth turning up elsewhere in VC56.
