Phtheochroa rugosana (Hübner, 1799)
Status ..... Regarded as common across the south of the UK, but there seem to be few recent Nottinghamshire records of this moth. There are records from Center Parcs Holiday Village, Misterton and two records from the Idle Valley NR near Retford. The moths illustrated, were very kindly brought over to us by members of the Lound Moth Group, who took the specimen in the upper two photographs at MV light in July 2016, with Dave Morton and Andy Ashley trapping the moth in the lower photographs at Boundary Wood, Blidworth in June 2023.
