Pammene giganteana (Peyerimhoff, 1863)
Status .....The moth photographed below, was attracted to MV light in March 2011 (Pendleton, T.A. and Pendleton, D.T.) constitutes the first ever record for the Sherwood Forest NNR. Recorded again from the Sherwood Forest CP in April 2021 (Pendleton, T.A.) and most recently in March 2022 (Batty, S.) when attracted to artificial pheremone lure.

The SKI pheremone lure seems to work best (males arriving within minutes) and will certainly reveal this moth to be commoner across Nottinghamshire than records presently suggest.
