Pammene albuginana (Guenée, 1845
Status .....Rare in Nottinghamshire, with what's believed to be just two county records. The identification of this species, has to be confirmed by genital dissection, as Pammene suspectana is visually too similar. The moth illustrated was trapped by Dave Morton at his home in Market Warsop and very kindly bought the moth to me for photographing. Martin Gray (the county micro moth recorder) did the gen det needed to confirm Dave's initial thoughts that it was P. albuginana.
