Lempke's Gold Spot Plusia putnami (Lempke, 1966)
Status .....Very similar to Gold Spot (Plusia festucae) there are believed to be no recent/confirmed Nottinghamshire records other than the one illustrated below, which was trapped at MV light at Broadholme in 2018. Lempke's Gold Spot is unlikely to be overlooked in Nottinghamshire, as recorders tend to specifically check any Gold Spot for the possibility of it being this species.

A note on Broadholme records: Broadholme is in vice county VC56 of Nottinghamshire (which is covered by www.eakringbirds.com), but not in the administrative county of Nottinghamshire on which  the county's moth records are based by the county macromoth recorder. As such, no Broadholme records appear in any county reports, but they are officially recognised by Butterfly Conservation as being Nottinghamshire records.
