L-album Wainscot Mythimna l-album (Linnaeus, 1767) 
Status .....A former rare migrant to the UK, but increasing somewhat in recent years and now being thought of as possibly breeding in some south-eastern counties. It still remains a great rarity inland and there is just a single Nottinghamshire record, from a Colwick garden, where it was recorded as new to the county on September 17th 2024 by Tom Shields. Grateful thanks go to Tom, for allowing the use of his photograph to illustrate the species below.
