Infurcitinea argentimaculella (Stainton, 1849)
Surprisingly, this moth was only found new to Nottinghamshire in May 2025, when larval tubes were found at Calverton by Nick and Samantha Brownley, on their first attempt at looking for it and then, they found it again at Duke's Wood, just a week or so later. Both records came from the trunks of Hawthorn in shaded conditions.

The best way to look for this moth, is by searching for the larval tubes on the Lichen Lepraria incana, which is a common Lichen found on trees and walls, especially in shaded, or damp conditions. It is likely that this moth is much more widespread than is currently known, so specifically targetted searches should produce further records in the coming years.
