Gynnidomorpha alismana (Ragonot, 1883)
Status .....Probably always a rare moth in Nottinghamshire, but especially so in recent years, as it appears that only Attenborough NR and the Idle Valley NR are the only sites to have recorded it. The moth in the lower two photographs, was trapped by members of the Lound Moth Group and our thanks go to Phil Cadman and Ian Hunt for providing us with the opportunity to photograph the specimen. Due to identifiction difficulties with several similar species, the moth's identity was subsequently confirmed by Martin Gray via genitalia examination.
