Garden Dart Euxoa nigricans (Linnaeus, 1761)
This is not a common moth in the county and is now reduced to occasional records from MV traps, but has never been recorded annually for many years and there have been numerous years, when it hasn't been recorded at all. It is also believed to have declined greatly across the UK in recent years.

There are a number of records from south Nottinghamshire including from Attenborough, Bunny, Carlton, Wollaton and Keyworth, with records further north in the county from Mansfield, Sherwood Forest CP, Elkesley, Broadholme and Market Warsop.
