Evergestis extimalis (Scopoli, 1763)
Yet another moth which was only recorded new to Nottinghamshire in 2026 and quickly produced a number of records from at least three sites in the eastern part of the county. These would likely indicate that it is quickly becoming established in Nottinghamshire, rather than all records being attributed to migrants.

The first of at least six individuals, was recorded in Martin Gray's garden at Broadholme, but there have been additonal records from Langford Lowfields (Morton, D. and Ashley, A.) and as far north as Misterton (Lee, P.) in the north-east of Nottinghamshire. Looks set to become a regular fixture at sites along the Trent Valley. Thanks to Dave Morton and Andy Ashley for again providing the moth in the accompanying photographs.
