Epinotia trigonella (Linnaeus, 1758) 
This is another moth which seems to be genuinely rare in Nottinghamshire. There is an old Rothamstead Trap record from the Sherwood Forest CP in both 1982 and 1983, but we never recorded it when trapping there between 2008 and 2022. There has been a recent record, when one was attracted to MV light at Misson Carr in the very north of the county in September 2023.
