Epinotia abbreviana (Fabricius, 1794)
Status .....Common around the county and often easiest to determine at any site, by the characteristic larval feeding damage to the leaves prior to the bud opening. The adult moth is quite variable, with some specimens being quite dark and showing little in the way of features or markings.
