Ectoedemia hannoverella
(Zeller, 1848) |
||
| Another species on the move northwards it seems, first appearing in Suffolk as recently as 2002. Only discovered new to Nottinghamshire in October 2025, when Graham Beeley found a single leaf mine on a fallen leaf of Black Poplar Populus nigra, along the Maun Valley Trail in Mansfield Woodhouse. The larva initially mines the leaf petiole, before moving into the leaf where it creates a small blotch mine formed within a 'green island'. | ||
