Ectoedemia hannoverella (Zeller, 1848)
Another species on the move northwards it seems, first appearing in Suffolk as recently as 2002. Only discovered new to Nottinghamshire in October 2025, when Graham Beeley found a single leaf mine on a fallen leaf of Black Poplar Populus nigra, along the Maun Valley Trail in Mansfield Woodhouse. The larva initially mines the leaf petiole, before moving into the leaf where it creates a small blotch mine formed within a 'green island'.
