Cydia inquinatana (Hübner, 1799)
This former rare immigrant to the UK, was added to the Nottinghamshire list in June 2025, when recorded at Stoke Bardolph by Nick and Samantha Brownley. It was officially added to the UK species list from Suffolk in 2009 and there have been an increasing number of records since, including from counties such as Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Usually found near the larval foodplants of Sycamore, Field Maple and Norway Maple and probably best looked for by searching trunks of these trees during the day.
