Coleophora albidella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)
This is either an uncommon Coleophorid in Nottinghamshire, or just not recorded because of the difficulties in the identification of adult Coleophoras. The one illustrated below, was was trapped at Lound Wood near Eakring in June 2025 and later determined by the county recorder Martin Gray, through genitalia determination (gen det). Because of the similarity of many Coleophoras and the lack of specimens being sent for determination, they are probably very much under-recorded in VC56.
