Clancy's Rustic Caradrina kadenii (Freyer, [1836])
A likely coloniser, or at least an increasing regular migrant over the next few years. One was recorded from Radcliffe-on-Trent in 2024 (Dulwich, P.), but the specimen was not retained, nor apparently accepted by the county recorder, despite photographs posted on social media at the time, clearly showing that it was a typical Clancy's Rustic. A second county record came from Misterton on October 1st 2025 (Lee, P.), before others were trapped at Newark on October 1st 2026 (Cornish, C.) and Besthorpe NR on October 12th 2026 (Pendleton, T.A.). Many thanks goes to Carl Cornish, who very kindly supplied the Newark specimen for inclusion below.
