Fig-leaf Skeletonizer Choreutis nemorana (Hübner, [1799])
First recorded new to the UK in Hyde Park, London as recently as 2014. Added to the Nottinghamshire list in August 2023, when cocoons and distinctive larval feeding signs were recorded on Fig (Ficus carica) trees at a garden centre near Southwell by county recorder Martin Gray. This moth has since been looked for by myself at a number of other garden centres and on those Fig trees growing outdoors at various locations, but there were no follow-up records until recently (August 2025) when numerous larvae were found in a garden at Flintham, south of Newark (Brownley, N. and Brownley, S.).
