Caloptilia cuculipennella (Hübner, 1796)
Thought to be new to Nottinghamshire in September 2021, when a single was recorded at MV light from Market Warsop. On appearance, and even for a Caloptilia sp, Caloptilia cuculipennella appears 'leggy' and rather elongated compared to the more common Gracillaria syringella. Nationally, it is patchily distributed across much of the UK, but predominantly in south-western counties. Possibly over-looked in Nottinghamshire.
