Azalea Leaf Miner Caloptilia azaleella (Brants, 1913)
Status .....No previous Nottinghamshire records until 2016, when leaf mines were found on an Azalea sp growing in a Mansfield garden. The larva initially mine the leaves, later forming a cone by rolling the leaf downwards from the tip. An adventive species, currently spreading north throughout the UK and now probably fairly widespread in parks and suburban gardens.
