| Buff
Footman Eilema depressa (Esper, 1787) |

        | Status
.....Widespread though generally recorded in small
		numbers at any
Nottinghamshire site. Like many other Eilema species, Buff
Footman has done well in recent years, as lichen growth has increased
everywhere, following the introduction of the Clean Air Acts of 1956 and
1993. Larvae of this and some other related moths, can be beaten from
trees covered in lichen and algae growth. |
