Brown Scallop Philereme vetulata ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)
Status .....A rare moth in Nottinghamshire with few records. The most recent county records are the three moths illustrated and virtually all the county's previous records have come from sites in the east of the county, either along the River Trent or the River Idle from Retford up to Misson Carr. Our thanks go to Phil Cadman for giving us the opportunity to photograph the moth in the lower two photographs, which was trapped by members of the Lound Moth Group.
