Ancylis laetana (Fabricius, 1775 )
A moth which has a predominantly south-easterly UK distribution, becoming less common further north. It's rare in Nottinghamshire, where the only modern, or recent records come from Gamston Wood. It was recorded by Martin Gray in early June 2026, a few days before I ran an MV light there and also recorded the moth. The larva feeds on Aspen Populus tremula, of which there is plenty on site.
