Small Engrailed Ectropis crepuscularia ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)
Status ..... Virtually identical to Engrailed and regarded by most authorities as being indistinguishable from that species. Small Engrailed has a slightly different flight period, which may be one of the most useful indicators towards this species over Engrailed. The two adults photographed came three weeks after the last Engrailed we had at Sherwood Forest in Spring 2009.
....
Photographed at Sherwood Forest CP April 30th 2009.
