Etainia decentella (Herrich & Schäffer, 1855)
Status .....Local across the UK, but there is probably an element of under recording. First recorded in Nottinghamshire from Newstead Abbey back in 1992 (Cooper, K.), this is one of the most distinctive of all the Ectodemias to identify visually as an adult. The one illustrated, was attracted to MV light (currently our only record). The larvae mine the samara and seeds of Sycamore.
