November 4th
A late afternoon visit to the Eakring Flash area produced little of any note, but over 60 Yellowhammer were in stubble fields next to Eakring Flash.

November 6th
A good movement of 528 Pink-footed Geese through the area this morning, with five skiens through between 08:55h and 10:00h. The morning's total included 180 east at 08:55h, 85 east at 08:57h, 67 east at 09:10h, 26 north-east at 09:45h and 170 east at 10:00h.

Also moving through today were 1 038 Wood Pigeon south, but numbers of all other species were very low. Just 23 Starling, ten Chaffinch and a single Brambling went west, with 11 Sky Lark south. 13 Fieldfare also went went and there were additional groups of around 40 birds at Eakring Flash and Penny Pasture Common. One-two Water Rail are still present at the northern-end of Eakring Flash, with ten Teal there and five female Goosander flew west.

November 7th
Some decent counts throughout the morning, with 1 739 Starling west, 512 Wood Pigeon south-west and 686 Fieldfare west. Other counts included eight Stock Dove high south, 29 Linnet south and east, two Bullfinch south and 18 Redwing north. There was a trickle of Herring and Great Black-backed Gulls going high south and south-west all morning, but notable were two male and a female Goosander west and another movement of Pink-footed Geese again between 09:45h and 10:25h, which saw another six skiens through totalling 324 east and 68 west. A Dunlin called several times as it flew over Eakring Flash unseen with Golden Plover and was the first site record since 2008.

November 13th
Two Water Rail at Eakring Flash this morning, with one along The Beck at the southern end of Eakring Flash and a second bird calling at the northern end. Visible migration through the area was limited, the best of the counts being 17 Lesser Redpoll south-east and 245 Starling west.

Of note this morning were three Roe Deer in the Eakring Flash area, before moving into Lound Wood. These three were also seen in the same area earlier this month.

November 14th
A relatively quieter morning compared to yesterday, with the exception of a short-lived Starling passage involving six flocks totalling just over 2 000 birds going south-west and west. The whole movement lasted little more than five minutes from 07:20-07:26h, after which there were just frequent very small groups passing through for the rest of the morning. The final total was 2 145 south-west and west.

Other migrant totals today were 30 Fieldfare west (with 250+ also in the Eakring Meadows area) two Bullfinch north-west and four Goosander west at 07:20h. Still one Water Rail at Eakring Flash.

The three Roe Deer were seen well again this morning, today crossing fields at Church Hill and out of view.

November 18th
A quiet morning with visible migration seemingly now over. There were just a few Fieldfare and finches still going through, but a pair of Goosander flew south over Eakring Flash and a welcome year tick this morning, with a Woodcock flushed from Lound Wood.
