Two Water Rail were calling at Eakring Flash early afternoon, with 250 Pink-footed Geese seen distantly over Eakring village moving south-east. | |||

Still some signs of migration continuing, with 169 Fieldfare south in several low-flying groups, 148 Starling west, 20 Chaffinch south and south-west and a single Brambling south. A male Goosander flew high south-west over Eakring Flash, where there were a minimum of three Water Rail calling this morning. | |||

Highlight of the morning was the area's first Twite since 2001, which flew east over Eakring Flash at 08:13h. A Wigeon was on Eakring Flash early morning and there were still at least three Water Rail there. At Penny Pasture Common three Jack Snipe around the pond and both there and around the rest of Eakring Meadows, 18 Common Snipe present. | |||

Still at least two Water Rail calling at Eakring Flash this morning. A few migrants still moving through, the best of which was a single Brambling south-west. | |||
