Holly Tortrix Rhopobota
naevana (Curtis, 1831) |
Status
..... Presumed to be relatively scarce in the county, but
specimens attracted to MV light are often not the best marked of moths and
recorders may be put off by assuming it to be too worn to identify.
Fresh specimens are easier and two very different examples are showed
here. The July 2010 specimen taken at Clipstone Old Quarter, was the
first Sherwood Forest NNR record
in over a century at the time. |
