Stigmella hemargyrella (Hübner, 1796)
Status .....A fairly common leaf miner on Beech, but not confined to Beech woodland and mines can often be found on quite isolated trees in a wooded setting. There are several known sites in the wider Market Warsop and Sherwood Forest area. Grateful thanks to Nick and Samantha Brownley, for allowing the use of their photographs of the rarely seen adult.
