Shears Hada plebeja (Linnaeus, 1761)
Status .....Described as common across the UK, but in Nottinghamshire this moth seems largely confined to Trent Valley sites, with scattered records from elswehere. This could be due to the moth actually being more common than is supposed, and that most records have never been openly published. The moth in the lower two photographs, was trapped by members of the Lound Moth Group in late May 2014.
