Phyllonorycter emberizaepenella (Bouché, 1834)
Status ..... In Nottinghamshire, this moth is probably under recorded. There is a small colony in our Market Warsop garden, based entirely around an old Honeysuckle. The adults are readily attracted to MV light.

Identification and separation from Phyllonorycter trifasciella (which also feeds on Snowberry) was confirmed by removing the pupa from within the cocoon inside the mine and by examination of the pupal cremaster.
