Coleophora lineolea (Haworth, 1828)
Status .....Sometimes referred to as being common where it's foodplant occurs, although there are few Nottinghamshire records and it is doubtless very much under-recorded. The cases photographed on Hedge Woundwort Stachys sylvatica, were the first record for the Sherwood Forest NNR, but it may be just as likely to be found in gardens, where the larvae feed on Lamb's ear Stachys byzantina, as found in a Market Warsop garden in May 2026.
