Larch
Case-bearer
Coleophora
laricella (Hübner, 1817) |
Status
.....Uncommon in Nottinghamshire, but
probably present in all forestry plantations containing Larch Larix decidua
and on many isolated trees. Larval cases easily found by hand
searching the lower branches of Larches between the Sherwood Forest CP
and
Budby South Forest in 2009. There are also records from Haywood Oaks, the former Calverton Colliery
site, Woodthorpe Park, Nottingham and a number of sites after targetted
searching. |
