Broom Moth Ceramica pisi (Linnaeus, 1758) .... Formerly known as Melanchra pisi
Status .....Restricted in Nottinghamshire, but is commonly recorded from the Sherwood Forest area. There is an isolated record from Bestwood in 2014 and it has turned up on occasions at other isolated sites. The larva illustrated, was found by Nick and Samantha Brownley, who very kindly provided it to me to photograph for inclusion here.
