Stigmella samiatella (Zeller, 1839)
Status .....Recorded from a number of sites within the Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park areas, but also recorded further south towards Nottingham. There may well be much under-recording of this species and it is probably more widespread than is currently known. Appears to be generally quite widespread in north Nottinghamshire wherever Sweet Chestnut Castanea sativa is found, but mines occasionally found on Oak.
