Stigmella basiguttella (Heinemann, 1862)
Status .....A generally common leaf miner of Oak Quercus robur, with the Sherwood Forest area providing most of the county's records. However, this is probably a more widespread species than the distribution map suggests. An easy Oak miner to identify, with the highly contorted mine being completely filled with cloudy, green frass, which becomes brown and more conpicuous with age.
