Stigmella assimilella (Zeller, 1848)
Status .....Nottinghamshire status unknown, but there are certainly very few records and those known are centred in the Manfield area, where the mines have been found on roadside Aspens growing along Newlands Road, Forest Town in September 2013 (Pendleton, T.A. and Pendleton, D.T.) and more recently, along nearby Crown Farm Way (Brownley, N. and Browwnley, S.) in October 2025. Likely to be found anywhere Aspen grows.
