Micropterix calthella (Linnaeus, 1761)
Status .....One of two widespread Micropterix species in Nottinghamshire. It is common throughout the Sherwood Forest area of the county and occurs in numbers at Treswell, Eaton and Gamston Woods near Retford, and at Wellow Park near Ollerton. Another moth overlooked because of its minute size and again occurring in large numbers on flowers.
